Privacy notice

This notice explains what information this website collects, why I collect it, who helps me handle it, and what your rights are.

Who is responsible for your information

I’m Dr Alyse Hung, a clinical psychologist working as inbetweenmind. I’m the data controller for the information you share through this website. That means I decide how it’s used and I’m responsible for keeping it safe.

To ask me anything about this notice, send me a message through the contact form on this website.

[Alyse to confirm: ICO registration number]

What I collect

  • The contact form: your name, your email address, the topic you choose and your message.
  • The waitlist form: your name, your email address and, if you add one, your message.
  • Booking: when you book a consultation or a session, your name, your email address and the time you choose. You pay through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to me.

Nothing clinical is collected through this website. Please don’t send health details through the forms. A sentence is enough, and we can talk properly when we speak.

If we work together, the notes and records from our sessions are covered by my client agreement, not by this notice.

Why I use it

I use your details to reply to you, to arrange and take payment for the sessions you book, and to contact you when a space opens if you join my waitlist.

[Alyse to confirm: the lawful basis for each use (for example, taking steps at your request before we agree to work together)]

Who helps me

These services handle some of your information for me:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website. When you visit, their servers receive basic technical details, such as your IP address, so they can show you the page.
  • Google: messages from the contact and waitlist forms arrive in my Google account. I also use Google for email and for video sessions. This website loads its fonts from Google, so Google receives your IP address when you visit.
  • Cal.com runs my booking calendar. It stores your name, your email address and the time you book. Cal.com stores these booking details in the United States, under its data processing agreement, with the UK’s international transfer safeguards.
  • Stripe takes payment for bookings. It handles your card details.

[Alyse to confirm: where Cloudflare, Google (Google Workspace) and Stripe store data, and the safeguards for any data stored outside the UK]

Cookies

This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies. When you open the booking pop-up, Cal.com’s booking page loads, and it may set the cookies it needs to work.

How long I keep it

[Alyse to confirm: how long you keep messages and waitlist entries if we don’t go on to work together]

[Alyse to confirm: how long you keep booking and payment records]

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
  • ask me to correct it if it’s wrong
  • ask me to delete it
  • ask me to limit how I use it, or object to how I use it
  • ask for it in a form you can take to someone else

To use any of these rights, send me a message through the contact form. I’ll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first, so I can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If I change this notice, the new version will be on this page.
